Red Sox Juniors are the junior branch of the Red Sox Manawatu Sports Club.
The Red Sox Club was formed in 1975 and over the years has amalgamated with a number of other local teams resulting in the club we have today. The Club joined with Riverside in 1998, forming Riverside Red Sox and this name was used for many years for our junior club. A decision was made in 2019 to bring the junior and senior clubs closer together to improve further the family feel of our club. The junior club is now known as Red Sox JFC.
We are a family based club with many of our senior players having played for the junior club. Our numbers have increased hugely over the past few seasons due to the commitment of our committee and families involved with the junior club. We are looking to continue our growth each year.
We are lucky enough to have a number of very generous sponsors who are enabling us to keep our fees as low as possible to make football an all-inclusive sport with fewer barriers.
We want as many children as possible to join the club and make up as many teams in each age group as possible.
We have a lead coach in place, Adam Rose from Fun Football for the Little People, to run sessions with all the age groups. Parental/carer assistance will be required for organisation of each team and we welcome any volunteers who would be happy to manage a team their child will play in to contact us for further information.
If you have any queries please contact us.
