2025 Academy registration now open for female players
DOB 2011-2016
Registration for the 2025 Palmerston North United Academy is now open for any female players born between 2011-2016.
Due to huge demand the spaces in the boy groups have been filled and we will not be able to accept any more registrations in the boy groups.
Our group of girls has grown year on year and 2025 will see us entering the Central Development League programme, which is replacing the Federation Talent Centre (rep) programme, as the pathway for aspirational footballers in the region.
We have spaces in our U13 and U14 girl squads and also in our groups for any female players U11. Our incredible coaching team is looking forward to working with the players in 2025 and if your player is passionate about football we have a great record of developing players quickly, regardless of their starting ability.

Red Sox Sports Club new football set up
You will notice on the registration form, the heading is for Palmerston North United.
There is a new set up for football at Red Sox Sports Club, which will enable us to offer a holistic experience to all the footballers in our community, from the age of 3 to the age of, well, until they hang up their boots. We can now cater for footballers of all ages, abilities and enthusiasm who want to play with their friends, learn some new skills and enjoy sport in a safe and fun environment.
The senior social teams of Red Sox, Palmerston North End and Massey University now all register under the Palmerston North United umbrella but will retain their original club name and wear their original club badge. Red Sox Sports Club will be the social hub and home of all Palmerston North United players, as well as the Red Sox Netball teams. The Red Sox Junior Football Club will also retain it’s name, red kit and badge. The junior team names will also be Red Sox.
The Palmerston North United name is to be used for our senior aspirational football teams; 1sts, Reserves and Development. It is also the name of our junior/youth Academy, for players from any clubs who want to be in an environment where football is still fun but coupled with a seriousness and intensity not suitable for most junior players. Go to the Academy page for more information.
